In Class Activity- Art of the Title
In class we were shown a website called Art of the Title. We analyzed some of the opening credits to films. One title sequence that I like was Split. The credits start with an unidentified male spraying a girl in the face with an unidentified spray. There are then close-up shots of the girl being dragged. In between the shots of the girl the screen goes black and the credits appear over the black screen. This gives the idea that the girl is fading in and out of consciousness. The sound is far off screeches which gives the effect of nightmares coming to life.

Feedback and Revisions
My partner and I have decided to reshoot the detective scenes because the dialogue does not sound that natural. We also are going to add dialogue to those scenes to make the opening credits longer. My partner and I are also making Detective Turner a girl because we had to many difficulties with the detective costume and make-up. We are also going to make the slow motion portion shorter, move the names to the beginning of the two minutes, and get rid of the black screen at the end and put the title over the slow motion. When we reshoot the actors playing the two girls can wear different outfits that are still the same style that their characters wear to show that the interrogation is a different day as the flash backs. Also Detective Turner should wear something more professional or blue to better help show that she is a detective.

Use Of Conventions
The different social groups that are represented are people who live in rural areas and urban areas. This is represented by how Harper and Sarah contrast. Harper is more relaxed about life and Sarah is worried that something will always go wrong. It also represents the issues of teens peer pressured by how harper telling Sarah what to do and that Sarah is telling Mia to calm down and if she does not want to go with them that she will be alone.
